SPCA of Central Florida Gets a New Name & a New Look

The SPCA of Central Florida is now, The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando with a tagline that says it all.

We Speak. We Heal. We Care.

Through a strategic re-evaluation of their business and brand, we helped develop, not just a new logo, collateral, & website, but a clear and concise vision, mission and brand values.

The result is a warmer more approachable brand with a clearer consumer message, that positions them to become the open-door, full-service agency they always wanted to be, and leave behind the negative association of a shelter to move towards an organization that truly cares about the welfare of the pets it helps and the people who call them family.

The path to the new brand included:

– A brand workshop with key stakeholders
– The development of new brand tenants, inclusive of a brand promise and tagline
– Updated Mission and Vision Statements
– Full redesign of the logo and visual identity system
– Website design
– Development of the Humane Rewards loyalty program
– Photoshoot to express the brand through imagery

Honda Xcelerator

As advanced technology and user interface design become more and more integrated into vehicles, auto manufacturers must compete with the rest of the world for the brightest minds to ensure they continue to compete. That was the impetus for Honda Xcelerator. Part incubator, part venture capital group, Honda's Xcelerator program – based in Silicon Valley – seeks to provide an environment that fosters invention and new ideas in the automotive industry. Great Big Circle was asked to help brand this exciting endeavor.

Orlando Magic 2012 Campaign - We Will


How does an NBA team facing a time of transition rally themselves, their fans, and the community at large? By defining a campaign that works no matter who is on the roster. A campaign that recognizes the challenges facing the team and revels in it. 

GBC was tasked by the Orlando Magic to craft a campaign concept at a time when star players are exiting, when leadership is changing, and at a time when the fans and the city of Orlando need a unifying call to mobilize in support. The concept needed to be strong enough to work in multiple mediums and at every level of the organization.

"We Will." is the realization of those efforts. It is a defiant statement that is designed to shatter any question that this organization, this team, the fans, and this city, are dedicated to bringing a Championship to Orlando. And when it happens, the headline will read "We Did."

Since 2007, we've won more games than almost anyone. 
And we've made the playoffs ever year,

Blezoo Bot

How does a company specializing in promotional products promote itself? To market their wide range of product branding capabilities—from drinkware to apparel to custom gifts—Orlando-based creative group Blëzoo needed a clever and cost-effective way to demonstrate their own nimble-footed ingenuity.

The result was Blëzoo Bot; a paper robot mailer that prospective clients could punch out of its perforated card and assemble, creating a branded desk buddy that could make its home in any office setting. As a mascot for the company and a symbol of their tireless work ethic, Blëzoo Bot offers a fresh burst of personality, narrative, and humor to the arduous task of hunting for promotional items. Unlike most promotional mail which generally winds up in the trash, GBC endeavored to extend the shelf life of Blezoo's mailer. Through the keepsake nature of the fun paper toy, clients would be more likely to keep their Bots—and Blëzoo's contact information—close at hand.

Hundreds of Bots were mailed out to Blëzoo clients, who responded with immediate enthusiasm. The mailer became the centerpiece of a viral marketing campaign in conjunction with online contests and social media initiatives, in which recipients were encouraged to submit photographs of their robots in different settings to win prizes. The Bot army is growing!

HTCDev & Mobile World Conference

In 2011, GBC worked with HTC, the Taiwan-based mobile device manufacturer, to create and launch their app developer support initiative, HTCdev. In Fall 2011, GBC launched the first version of HTCdev.com. The new website, complete with HTC's first Software Developer Kit (SDK) and other app development support resources, was a huge success logging two million unique visitors in 6 months across 200 countries. In February 2012, HTCdev called on GBC to support their participation at Mobile World Congress (Barcelona), including the design of a Keynote presentation that was to be projected on a nearly 60-foot wide screen. The presentation included the announcement of the updated SDK as well as their new line-up of 3 phones under the HTC One banner. The event was a solid win for Team HTCdev. Note the line of people extending around the building waiting to see the HTCdev presentation.
